I don't know if I was looking in the wrong place on that website, but it seems to just give "teasers" and asks for your e-mail address so they can e-mail you stuff.

This person has another site that has ebooks for sale. I haven't purchased any, so I can't give any info on it. You can see it at www.cakesmadeeasy.com

I did fork over an email that I use for instances like this. Didn't know whether or not the site was just farming email addresses. They do send out tips and I have found some of them to be useful.

Ok the first tip was smoothing using paper towel, explained in the email. Then they sent me to this link, with highlights taken from the vidoes or books they sell. The video is worth watching!

The tips that I have gotten from them I already knew from my classes. I suppose if you haven't taken any classes, they would be useful. icon_smile.gif

Ok I've had the ebooks for about 2 months now. I have found them very helpful thumbs_up.gif , since I'm new to this and don't have access to the classes. I use their MMF recipe and have really gotten good reviews on that. I still get periodic emails with new tips or videos.

hello everyone, I purchased both volumes the cake books and videos. They have some amazing stuff in these. They even show how to make a rose on a stick. The best part is once you buy them you can share it with a friend (go in halfs or something) I purchased it and e-mailed my mother-in-law the link and now she has it too.

lots of good stuff and recipies too!

I've been getting emails from them for a couple of months. They do try to sell books/videos but thankfully they're not pushy about it. As was said earlier, the tips are more basic for beginners but I have enjoyed watching all the video clips. I guess I'm always hoping I'll learn something new. icon_wink.gif

That's a really cool video! icon_eek.gif It would never have occurred to me to just dunk petit fours like that. I don't think I'd like doing it like that, but it sure is fast and easy.

The tips are not that good, nothing you can't get free from your friends here at CC. They send you a tip a day, or per week (I forget which) for a few weeks, along with a solicitation to buy the e-books. Then, you do not hear from them for months at a time, unless they have something else to sell.

Right now he is trying to sell a book of key lime recipes. Nothing you can't google.

The video is worth sharing, as there are so many decorators who have trouble with the rose. Don't waste your time with the rest.

I bought the ebook about 3 weeks ago.
It was good for totally green beginner like me.
But after discovering this website I don't think it would be too helpful for someone with more than a little experience.
But if you are green, you will like it. icon_lol.gif

Well im definately "green" icon_biggrin.gif
I bought the e-books and so far they have been fabulous for a newbie like me! I agree that you could find most of the info on CC but I like having the info in front of me in a book (maybe im just lazy lol)
