Dumb question... is fbct like royal icing? I mean.. royal icing you cant actually eat due to its texture..... is this how the fbct ends up as well or does it soften up after being placed on cake

Once it gets back to room temperatue, it is just like regular BC - it ends up being like an extra layer of icing on the cake. Totally edible and soft.

After it thaws, it's just like fresh BC. It's soft, buttery and creamy. As a matter of fact, it's good frozen too! But, it doesn't take long for it to thaw once it's transferred to the cake. They're so easy and lots of fun.
