Ok...where to begin....
I have come to accept the fact that I am really addicted to all things creative, especially of the baking variety. I work full time as a Computer Programmer/ Web Developer, but in my "spare" (I had to laugh as I typed that word) time I also own and run an Interior Decorating Business. About 4 years ago, I started doing cookie bouquets in answer to a challenge that a friend issued to me, and I was absolutely amazed in the demand of them. I've been getting more requests for cakes, too, which is great because I need all the practice I can get.
I'm in the process of trying to become licensed, so that I can advertise and hopefully drum up some business. I have no idea where all of this will lead, but I am having fun.
Anyhow, the whole purpose of this post was to really send out a thank you to all of you. It is amazing what I have learned over the past months from this site. The willingness to help out and share with one another is wonderful! I have managed to rope my sister and a good friend into my obsession with cake decorating, and my friend thanks all of you for the KA mixer post. She is now a proud owner, and can't believe she's lived without one for all these years.
Well, I apologize for rambling so. I was just getting my afternoon dose of cc, and just got overwhelmed with such gratitude at all of the information that I was receiving.

Also welcome to CC. This is a wonderful family. You definitely know your addicted if hours have passed by and you didn't know it because you were busy looking through pages and pages of pictures.

Welcome! I have learned most everything I know about cakes now from this site. There is such a wealth of information that the wonderful people here freely give. Don't be afraid to ask questions, someone here will help you. Have fun and good luck with your business.
I have to say that I was a bit skeptical and knew that being adicted to a site was just krazy 
but I have found myself spending so much time reading the forums and looking at the pics for .... long periods of time (didn't want to say "hours").
This site has so much to offer and so well organized. I am just amazed.. and grateful to know I am not alone.... woo hoo!!
