Hi.
I'd like to try a cupcake cake. I am worried about how you spread the first layer of buttercream on the tops of the cupcakes without them all toppling over. I know people say put a little buttercream on the bottom of the cupcakes, but I can't believe that it really holds them in place that well.
Do you bake them on a cookie sheet in the pattern you want so that they "attach" themselves to each other? I've looked in the gallery and they all look so nicely frosted - so smooth. How do you get them to stand so still while you spread that first layer of icing??? Is the icing thinned down so it isn't so stiff? Help!!!
Thanks. ![]()
Just bake them in regular cupcake pans.
Do you have an icing tip? You could use that....or just use your spatula and use a lot of icing at first, you'll eventually take out what you don't need. Just ice as you normally would.
You could put 4 or 5 together and practice on.
You will be amazed at how they turn out-it's so easy!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!
