I am doing a groom's cake with a wedding order in about 4 weeks and they want it to be hunting themed. I found some cute little topper things on the Babycakes website, but for $10 worth of merchandise it will cost me about $8 in shipping and another $3.50 for not meeting the minimum order. I could go ahead and order more to meet the minimum order, but of course the shipping charges will go up. Can anyone tell me if they've seen anything remotely close to these at a reasonable price? I just don't want to pay these outrageous shipping charges!! I don't want to wait much longer to order them as I want them to be here in time to exchange them if anything is wrong with them. Thanks guys!!

Could you maybe check the toy stores around you? I am not sure you could find the hunter with a gun, but the others, maybe. Kinda reminds me of army men my brothers used to play with as kids. And the bambi's--I'd check the mini Christmas stuff at Hobby Lobby.

I found a boatload of stuff like that at Hobby Lobby...do you have one there? Find a hobby store and "think outside the box". I've bought stuff meant for other hobbies that worked great on cakes.

Ah, yes... Hobby lobby! Love that place! I will have to look there. Thanks you guys!

Also, I am more than willing to buy them online as well, as long as I don't have to pay more than the price of the items in shipping charges. You know, $10 worth of stuff costs a total of $21+... I don't think so!!

One place to find a wide variety of miniatures is an electric train hobby shop. (Yes, such a thing really exists!) They have every possible variety of person, animal , building, and type of tree.

These look like Wilton or Bakery Craft kits other then the deer by themselves, which can be ordered seperately. You might try cake carousel in Texas they may have them, there is no minimum. You may also check with Wal-Mart or the grocery stores, they may have the kits and sell them to you.

You know what? I was at walmart today and they already have christmas stuff and I have miniature for my christmas village and I'm sure that if you go and look at the aisle where they have the little houses and little trees you may find something there.

Another place you could check is at a TSC or Co-op.

Vicky, thanks, that is what I'm looking for, but again they want $8 shipping for a $9 order. I just can't see spending that. I guess I am cheap!! haha! No, no, no... I am frugal! That's it!! icon_lol.gif
