This was my very first cake and I like to see if my price was reasonable or how much should I have charged? I have charged $40 dollars for this. I am surprised that everyone likes my cake and I thought I did well on it and I was so nervous on my very first order. phew! icon_surprised.gif I appreciate your opinions.

Thank you so much.

I think that was a more than reasonable amount for that cake. I do not know how big it was, you maybe could have charged more depending on the size.

Now this is a neat fishing cake! If it's a 1/2 sheet I would probably charge a little more than my usual because of all the landscaping you did so $45-50.

Depends on the size of the cake, $40 is not too much.
Never undersell your cakes.

Norman Davis gave some great advice at the convention.
A customer had laughed at how much he was charging for a certain cake and he asked the customer how much he got paid an hour (which was MORE than minimum wage by about 4 X's). He then told the customer "Sir, I could probably do what you do but YOU can't do what I do!" Remember, if they could do it...they wouldn't have to come to you in the first place.
