I am still new at decorating and I dont have a business or anything. I have only sold a few cakes to a neighbor so far. but i thought it might be fun to set up a little website. Not so much to "advertise" as I am not an "official" business, but just to post my cakes in case anyone is interested in seeing them..maybe just a little word of mouth recommendations etc. Can anyone recommend a place to set up a website? I dont want to spend a lot of money on it. I dont really know much about the costs, or free webspace. thanks!

I just got webspace via Yahoo and it was $8.95 for 2 months and then $11.00 per month after that, which I thought was pretty good.

The reason I wanted to use this instead of freespace was because I wanted an easy to access web address and I was able to get:

www.cakediva73.com Well not that exact one but with my business name and I didn't want to have to type www.freespace.cakediva73.com, etc... I also didn't want a bunch of pop-ups. I did see some of the sites created using the freebies and they look really good so now I wonder if it was that important... icon_confused.gif

I am still completely lost about how to activate it so it knows what searchwords to pop up with...very confusing, and I always thought I was pretty computer literate! icon_redface.gif

does anyone know much about the google pages? It says that it is free. Just wondering how easy it is to use, are there lots of ads etc.
