please i need help with royal icing never did it ...and im making my birthday cake.....and it is a cow fairy..yeap more cows jjee but dont know how to make the wings it is almost done the cow fairy...but need wings and some more details..but i need the wings....!!!

I always make my royal icing elements on waxed paper. No worries. Never tried parchment, but since it's infused with silicone, I imagine it could work.
Drying time really depends on thickness. Give it at LEAST a day, especially if you're in a humid climate. Several days to be safe for thicker designs.

I save mine in a tupperware container in the fridge. I don't know how long it lasts, though. You can make little decorations (flowers, generic things you'll be able to use later) and they'll keep for decades. Really. We still have some that my grandmother, a professional cake decorator, made in the 60s and 70s.
Don't add water when you use the saved icing, but you will need to re-whip it a bit.
