Hi. I'm looking for great moist sheet cake recipes. I would also like some tips on simple decorating for these odd sized cakes. For me they are a challenge to decorate. I like to make cakes for my husband to take to work from time to time and a sheet cake is the best for it's size. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Also any tips on the best baking pans for sheet cakes. Thanks

I use the same batter for sheets that I do for other cakes.

There is a really long thread out there about "post your best (or favorite) sheet cakes" that may give you some good decorating ideas. Some classics are posted there!

To me, sheet cakes are quick, simple and easy ..... which translates into good profit.

Magic Line pans are the best to use regardless of shape.

It was me!!!!!

I cannot wait to make my first order for a sheet cake I want to call them "Most Awesome Sheet Cakes" I brush mine with some flavored syrup to add more moisture to them, but I have no problem getting a moist cake.

The expanded flavor versions of the WASC cake:

Using DH white cake mix, I get a tad over 14 cups of batter which is perfect for a 12x18x2, or cut in half for a 13x9x2.
