I was wondering what colors to add to get an off white cake. The bride and I decided since it wasn't her 1st or 2nd wedding she should have an off white cake.

Depending on what type if icing your using the half butter half shortening icing is a off white color naturally. In order to get a pure white you need t add Wilton white white to it.
The other thing you may be able to do would be use a natural flavoring, sometimes they will add a little color that will make you icing off white kind of like a bone white or an ivory color. If that isnt off white enough I know Wilton has some light colors that may be able to be added to change the color for you. I hope this helps some and maybe someone else has an idea on what could help you.

Wilton makes an ivory icing color. You could use that! icon_smile.gif

I agree with ump..using some butter or regular colored vanilla is how I usually do it...or just a very teensy bit of brown past food color.
