Ok, I just want to cry. I went last nioght and got the kids supplies for this year. Hoping I would get some assistance with tutition, well, the mail ran today and I am not getting what they promised. So thinking I could make up the difference, I want to cry. I can't...and I don't know what I am going to do.

I called the school and told them what was going on and they admin. guy didn't seem to care. He offered no options for me and I have busted my butt for the school. For the past 2 years we have been chairs for booths at the picnics, we soend every waking moment at the school events. My daughter is in choir, she is an alter girl, we serve at mass. OMG, I wanna cry. I really don't know what we are going to do.

My best friend passed away in 2005 and I don't have anybody to lean on, I am so worried that the kids are going to be split and they end up in a terrible schools.

Prayers PLEASE!!!

Patricia

sounds like your kids go to Catholic school??? If so I would call the Priest who is ultimately over the school. My sisters and I all went through Catholic school through 8th grade, and Mom said one year when my Dad lost his job, the priest wanted to know if we needed help with the tuition....my Mom declined, but perhaps if you talk to your Priest you might find some options.

When I was part of the Catholic church (which I no longer am, but that another very LONG thread!) the priest said one Sunday "Don't let the cost stop your child from obtaining a good Catholic education." They don't want to lose you any more than you want to leave them. Talk to the priest.

I was told by the priest, he has nothing to do with it. And to talk with the admin about it.

I was told by another parent that the school and church are seprate and I have tio deal with the admin.

It's in God's hands now....I filled out the paper work, only time will tell. I just hope the kids don't get the raw end of the deal.

Most Catholic Schools and churches are run seprately but I have yet to find one where the Principal of the school didn't report directly to the Priest. I hope your paperwork goes through without a hitch......back when I went to school you could tithe to the church and send all your kids to school (which is the only way that my family could afford it)........now it seems like most schools require tuition....and that can really hurt a family (not that the tithing didnt "hurt" my parents but it was cheaper than tuition for 3 of us).

I'm gonna pray for you family. But I want you to know God is in control! And if they have to go somewhere else, He will be with them.

My kids have always gone to a private schools, but I had just noticed they were picking up some views (yes, from Christians) that I didn't want them to have. I'm not downing anyone, I am a Christian. The kids at their school were self-centered, and everything pointed inward. I want my kids to know being a Christian is about others, not putting yourself first.

I was a teacher's aide at their school last year, and realized I really wasn't getting what I as paying for. I was very unhappy with my son's class. So I checked into the school we were zoned for, met with the principal and absolutley fell in love with the school. I moved him in hte middle of the year and he did great! It was just what he needed.

So in a couple of weeks, for the first time all of my kids will be going to public school and I'm pretty excited. I have taught them what's right and wrong. Now it's their turn to go actually live what they have learned. I'm sure mistakes will be made, but that's a fact of life and how you grow as a person.

Good luck!
