Well, first thanks to everyone that helped with advice!
It went great!! I was discouraged at first as 1 bride cancelled without reason just "something came up" the night before and 1 bride was a "no show". So, 3 came, and 3 BOOKED and paid deposits!! It was SO much fun. The Brides were all incredibly wonderful and sweet.
I got a great email from one of the brides within a couple of hours of the tasting. I sent them home all with boxed cupcakes of a couple different flavors. She shared them with family then let me know how they raved about them.
Then I see on the knot.com she and one of the other Brides posted a great VENDOR review for me. It makes me feel wonderful!
Thanks everyone for the help. I will change things just a little next time with some of your more experienced advice. But, overall it went great.
Here is a picture of the "meeting table" and the samples for everyone. I had 2 of my portfolios on the table plus a dozen or so idea books. I had bottled water for them and everyone took home sample cupcakes. It was probably extra work...but, I would do it over again in a heartbeat. I can hardly wait until the next one.
BTW...I've got more calls today for this next months tastings. I can't believe how fast this is happening.
Thanks everyone for your encouragement and advice. I felt like a newbie starting all over again after all these years.

Oh, this sounds so wonderful! I'm sure I missed an earlier thread on this, so I'd love to hear how you set it all up. Did you advertize the tasting? How did you choose which flavors, and how many to serve? Did you do it at your home, or do you have a comercial space? Congratulations on what was obviously a fun and worthwhile event. I'm so happy for you, and may even attempt it myself!
I missed the other thread as well, will have to look that up. Neat idea to put slices in strudel boxes! That way they can see how pretty a slice of cake will look on a plate. What a great idea to have everyone come on the same day as well.
Did you do this at your home or meet at a cafe?
