I went to michaels and found some fall silk flowers. I wanted to know if these would actually bleed on the buttercream frosting. I have never used silk flowers and I asked someone there and they didn't know.

Please advise..thanks

I'm not sure, as I haven't used them before. I think it would probably be ok? Maybe someone else has some experience with it?

I use silk flowers quite a bit and have never had a problem.

I bought silk fall leaves and berries from Michales last year and used them on my cake, and had NO problems! They held up really well, and I could even wash them off and re-use them for another cake! They were fall colors, like orange, red, brown, and yellow. It was such a GREAT deal too! I purchased them from Michale's $1 bin...and got LOTS of use out of them! I think you'll be fine using them!

I got berries too for $.99 they had a lot of things really cheap, . I'm going to cut them and add them to the bottom of the cake as a border.

THanks for the feedbak!
