The weather here is overcast and cool, windows open. All I want to do is bake (for fun, not customers) and I have housework to do. I want to make samples to set out at work. Oh...DH just caught me on CC when I have him busy doing housework too!! Anyone else excited about the weather change?
I AM TOTALLY EXCITED ABOUT THE FALL WEATHER AND BAKING !!! I live in the Denver area and parts of Colorado got THREE FEET of snow yesterday (just in the mountains).
I don't mind baking when the weather is hot as I have central A/C but it is just not the same as baking when the weather cools down and fall is upon us !!! I'm already thinking about starting on Halloween and Christmas cookies to sell at work !!!

Ohhh to be where you are *sigh*...It's 90 , hot and humid in N. Florida and THIS is a cooler day than usual.
I can't wait for November..thats when it gets a little cooler during the day.

auntsushi----3 feet of snow??? Wow, I'm just excited about the temp being in the 70s, I'd go crazy if I had snow. It must be so beautiful there.
lilmisscantbewrg--I'm sorry it's still hot and muggy there. We had high humidity yesterday so I know how it feels-uck!
Now, I really need to do some housework

Oh, fall is the most wonderful time of year! There is just something about waking up and being a little chilly, but forget about turning up the heat... get that oven going! 
Cuddling up with a slice of something fresh baked... introducing my little boy to the wonders that come from that magic box in the wall! He is getting old enough now to be really interested in food, and he loves my home cooking and baking. (Smart boy!!) Banana bread is one of his favorites, and that might be what we do today! (Well, ok, that and laundry!!) 
aggiedecorator - I know how you feel about the housework. It never seems to end. Bake cakes, clean up, bake cakes, clean up and find time to do the rest of the housework somewhere in there.
I had to get up early to straighten up before 2 ladies came to pick up their cakes. I finished them at 12 am this morning..and I'm beat today. Yesterday, I had to finish a cake for a bday with enough time to get ready- then attend the party -then come home , clean my mess from that one and start on the next two. After lunch ( aparently, my hubby thinks I should feed him sometime) I have to start on 2 more. Whew! This has been a busy week.
lol I just came in from walking the dog and all the leaves are starting to fall and I was actually thinking the same thing great day for baking. I have the clothes drying on the line lovely breeze blowing in the window. Cooking show on the tele and wonderful people here at cc just missing the smell of home baking guess I'll spark up the oven lol I just cant wait to start the christmas baking. I've been going over all my recipe books getting some ideas together and marking pages. HAPPY BAKING ALL I just cant wait for the first snow fall ahhhhhh life is good 
LOL, I woke up this morning ready to bake... So I just finished Peanut butter cookies (tried a new recipe and I think it is definitely a keeper!) and while I was doing that I was trying to figure out what I want to make for the holidays this year. I love having the windows open with the cool breeze going through the kitchen and the warm oven on... Hmm I thought I was the only one!
This is why I love this site. No one in my family understands the concept of a "good baking day" School starts and I get all giddy planning out my holiday baking, clean out the freezer for extra cookies then the weather drops and I swear my KA and the oven begin to whisper my name. If I don't get in there soon they'll start to chant.
