I have a baby shower cake for 60, half marble/half yellow. BC - no filling. What size would you use to accomodate that? 1/2 sheet is 48 - to little. Full sheet is to much. Those are what I am most used to using ... anybody have a suggestions for me? This is for a friend so I told her I should be able to do it for $45 - was that to high/low? The cake is baby Mickey and I have yet to come up with any ideas for that either. - I'm just not into this cake...I feel I should have said no to doing it...help
I once worked at a bakery where we did 3/4 sheets which is basically a 16x16 square. You can just put it on a full sheet board. You should be able to bake both a 1/2 and a 1/4 sheet, then cut the 1/4 sheet width wise and put the 2 pieces on the end of the long side of the 1/2 sheet. You may have to do a little trimming depending on the exact size of your pans. Good luck ![]()
How about 2 11x15, one choc, one van. then push together to make 1 cake. that way you don't have to worry about different cooking times for the choc and van.

I've done that. You have to make absolutely sure you've got a FIRM surface under it though or it's going to crack at the seam. I took 4 boards and hot-glued them together then wrapped...it was stable enough but if you can get your hands on plywood, that would be ideal.
As for the Baby Mickey, have you done FBCTs? Here are 3 images I have in my file from a Baby Mickey baby shower a while back
