I've never tried it but I use her recipe for yellow cake almost exclusively. I even add different flavorings for different cakes (lemon zest for lemon cake, rum extract for rum cake, etc.). It is absolutely delicious! I am definitely going to try her buttercream. Does it crust?
I love her "Classic yellow Cake" recipe. Haven't tried her buttercream because her recipe makes 12 cups. I only need about a third of the recipe. Her recipe is enough for a full wedding cake. Maybe Half of the recipe wouldn't be a lot, plus you could always freeze it.
is the recipe on CC? if not, could someone post it? i'd love to give it a try.i use her yellow cake recipe and its really good.
ahhh, i just found it in the recipe section. its an italian meringue BC, so it won't crust. im sure its delish, i love meringue BC's
as i said above, its already on CC. look in the recipe section on this site and type sylvia weinstock in the search bar. you will find it.
This is the first time have I made an IMB, I love it. I will not be decorating until thursday, but I have so much to do that I couldn't wait that long to do everything.
I have it in the frig as suggested and will take it out the morning I am going to use it.
This like any other IMB will not crust.
