Sometimes I say yes to cakes when I should say no. wed night someone called and asked if i can do a cake for his daughters bday party today.
I was dumb and said yes. Foget that it was like 3 dyas before, we are trying to move today and, and we are barely packed, did i mention I am 37 weeks pregnant!!!
so i suggested a doll cake thoguht it would be easy, I have made lots of them. the cake wasn't big enough when it was baked so i baked another cake to add to the bottom but the cake needed to be trimmed and was so crumbly. I could not get the crumbs to stay put. I am usually very good at not having crumbs in my cakes and i hate them. well, i gave up when my contractions where 8 minutes apart, I am not thrilled with the cake and feel bad charging $35 for it. what do you think? should i just charge for supplies and apologize for it not being perfect?
