I am trying to put my pricing list together and need some assistance on some things that I am not so good at.

First, how much batter do you use to make cupcakes? 1/2 cup each?

Second, how much do you charge for cupcakes? How much if they are filled?

And last, what do you charge for Sugar cookies? (Basic flooded, simple design)?

Thanks for you help in advance.

I get 24 cupcakes from a doctored mix. Sometimes a few more but usually around 24. I use DH mixes so they usually make 5-6 cups of batter, so they wouldn't be half a cup of batter.

If it is a plain jane with a swirl on top, then they are about a $1 for me. For filled I'd probably added .50 per cupcakes. If it is a decorated cupcake, then $2 or $3 and up depending on the design, then .50 for the filling.

The way I charge is :

cupcakes $8.00/dozen or $16.00/2 dozen(simple decorations)
2" cookies @ .25/each= $3.00 dozen or $6.00/2 doz.
3" cookies @ .50/each=$6.00 dozen or $12.00/2 doz.
4" cookies @ .75/each=$9.00 dozen or $18.00/2 doz.

Everyone prices differently of course, but I hope this helps!

When I make cupcakes, I use my 1/4 cup measuring cup to pour the batter into the cups. That usually works great for me.
