Do I Need Make A Slice In The Fondant To Cover A Sheet Cake

I am confused about how to do the corners.

I did a 9 x 13 last night, and it was very simple. Just like a round...nothing different.

EXCEPT make sure you roll it BIG enough. I didn't get it wide enough and had to lift and reposition it twice, and STILL had to do some creative patching to cover the exposed icing on the back bottom edge of the cake!

On squares and rectangles, always start by smoothing the corners first. Flare the excess fondant between to corners and gently ease it down.

I was confused too until I did a square cake...somehow it just works!
