I just posted my first cake! I really just "borrowed" ideas from the pictures of cakes on this website. I am just a beginner- so I have to have a model to use. There are so many great cakes on this site!!
I am just starting- so buttercream is the way to go for me right now!
SOme day I will tackle fondant... eek!
Look forward to many more ideas and tips on this site!

Welcome! CC is a great community of decorators and source of ideas I hear you about being a "buttercream" person for awhile. I remember that feeling. LOL It is still my preferred method...but there's a world of ways to use fondant and gumpaste to make gorgeous cakes. As your questions arise~ this is the place to find answers. Can someone help with the search criteria. I wanted to look at Kmurph's cake, so I went to galeries, selected search, put "Kmurph" in the search box and got no returns. I'm also having the the same problems when I try to search for forum topics. Can someone please help me before I pull my hair out!
