I need a name for these cakes. They are my best sellers and I would like to call them something rather than having people come up to me and say "I want one of those cakes with all the gooey stuff on it". My creative juices aren't really flowing today, so could ya'll help me out. They are chocolate cake with buttercream icing, caramel sauce, and chocolate ganache (all made from scratch). I just delivered one today and got another order for one and I don't even advertise. This is going to be my signature cake once I become legal since it seems to be everyones favorite. Thanks in advance.

Here are some:
Mudslide, Sugar Rush, Choco-Caramel Delight, Gooey Delicious Cake.

Of course you could put 'the' and 'cake' at the beginning or end of any of these! Looks wonderful, send ME one! icon_smile.gif

I like Mudslide too......BUT......"Mudlside" is also the name of an alcoholic beverage, so be sure your customers understand that there is NO alcohol in the cake. icon_wink.gif

Mudslide sounds good to me! I never thought of that but it does look like one doesn't it! I'm going to buy some cute but cheap plates at the dollar store to put them on as well because the sauces just run off the cake boards. Thanks gals, what would I do without ya!

Oh don't worry about the alcohol. I live in a completely dry county so most people here wouldn't even think of the alcoholic beverage!

How about chocolate, carmel mudslide so it doesn't get confused with the drink?

To me, another name that kind of describes it would be "Chocolate Caramel Volcano", but that's a lot longer name. You could also just call it a volcano, and when people ask why you call it that, you can say, "Because it's erupting with chocolate and caramel deliciousness!!" icon_lol.gif Just offering another option!! I like mudslide though!

Add few pecan chips and you would have a Turtle Cake. How about Chocolate Carmel Sensation or a C/C Sensation

Wow, who'd a thought I'd be so popular today? icon_wink.gif I just saw that cake w/ the stuff 'sliding' off the top, and then went back and read that it was chocolate inside....mudslide just came out!

So if you name it that officially, I expect one in the mail....ha ha! icon_biggrin.gif

I don't think mudslide is 'taken', it's just also the name of an alcohol-based drink.

I think if you were trying to name a drink that, yes, it's taken. But a cake? icon_smile.gif

Okay, since MUDSLIDE can be confused with a drink, how about something along the lines of Mud Puddle, Puddle o' mud, The Eye Roller, Oh, I know....... Garden Of Eden Cake... cause every bite is sinful!!!

I like the Garden of Eden Cake Idea...too funny.....I have never done the caramel before the ganache, but the ganache cakes i have done have been huge favorites of my family and friends. Best of luck in whatever you do...

And I had no idea there was such a thing as a DRY county in this good ol' USA! That just shocked me!

Wow, thanks for all of the responses. There are so many good ideas so I will have to think about them a little.
Mkerton, actually most of the countys around my area are dry, the only one that isn't only sells beer, no liquor. If we wanted alcohol we would have to drive 2 hours in any direction.
Thanks guys, I knew I could rely on you.
