I assume it depends on how much you add, but I wondered if this actually makes the cake taste caramel, or if it just gives it an extraordinarily great white cake?? know what I mean? thanks

I made this last night and havn't tasted the cake yet, but I did taste the batter. I thought the batter had a mild tast of caramel to it and it was really good. I'll let you know what I think once I taste the cake.

I just used it for the first time, and you can taste the caramel. You can smell it when it's baking! I sent it in with my husband for his birthday (you have to bring your own stuff where he works) and it rave reviews!!! Someone said it was the best cake he ever tasted!! I use 2 Tablespoons to 1 mix.

I have not used this yet but from my understanding it changes the flavor so you have a carmel taste.

I used it this week. You can taste caramel and smells great while baking. Even my husband noticed. Forget scented candles, I'll just have to bake all winter. icon_wink.gif It's worth a try. fabbo
