Would anyone happen to know how they got the icing on these cookies to be pearlized? It looks to me like it came right out of the pastry bag as opposed to being brushed on. Any ideas? I wanted to ask her myself, but I looked all over her website and could only find contact info for actually ordering.

Are you sure it's not brushed? I can kinda see some lines of darker spots.

I bet it is just dusted with Superpearl lustre dust.I have yet to see any icing that is metallic.

has anyone tried adding luster or peral dust to icing? I added gold luster dust to piping gel once and it looked kinda cool...........just wondering about the icing.

I use Alice's cookie icing (recipe is on this site), and it looks a little pearlescent when it is thinned down for fill-in stuff. Otherwise, I agree with Kiddiecakes, it's probably brushed with pearl dust.
