My girlfriend's son wants me to do a Spongebob cake for his mother's birthday. He said she likes spongebob and that's what he would like me to do. On one hand I want to talk him out of this, but on the other hand I think it's great that this 9-year-old is going through so much to plan his mother's birthday.
I have the wilton yearbook with a spongebob cake in it. I'm wondering how easy it is to do. It seems like it's just pipped stars in different colors and that's it. That's how many of the character cakes are. My cake decorating skills are atrocious. If it's pipped stars, that's not a problem. I can do that. But the question is, how simple or hard is it?
I shouldnt be too hard if you buy the spongebob character pan. It is just piped stars. It probably isnt too hard, it is just time consuming. I dont know if you have done any FBCT or chocolate transfers, that would be an option too. Here is a spongebob cake I did recently with CT's.
edited because I forgot to add the pic!

CT's are chocolate transfers...sorry for the abbreviation...! The CT's are like the characters on my cake.
I want to thank everyone for their help. I'm going to check out the links and now that I now what the abbreviations stand for I have a better idea of what to look for. Thanks.
