Loved ones--
Thank you for stopping by this post. This post is to pay your respects to a member of my family that is near and dear to my heart...my oven!
Alas, I think she is on her last leg. She is so young...8 yrs old. But running constant, as we know an 8 yr. old will do, will make a body weary.
So, let's all bow our heads to say a silent prayer for...my oven!
Thank you--may she rest in peace when the Maytag man comes to take her "home".
Amen....
Let us also pray the Maytag man brings a nice double oven to help us recover from the loss of her. ![]()
May she rest, or perhaps, rust in peace!
LOL!! You are so punny!! ![]()

I think this is the first time I've read a post here on CC and actually been......dare I say it.........SPEECHLESS!!!!
I really didn't know what to expect when I clicked on this post!
May you remember all of you joyful memories with your oven! LOL! (and don't forget to tell us all about the shiny new one!)
Take a minute, sit back and think of the wonderful memories you've shared with your oven. How many times it's been there for you... How loved it's been. It's been more than an oven... it was a sidekick... you'll always have the fond memories you and your oven have shared. It's been a wonderful journey!
Break out the scrapbook and reflect on the pcitures of all the wonderful times the two of you have shared together.
(Why am I hearing that song from the Geico commercial with the gecko and the chick frolicking in slow motion in the field?)
I too lost my beloved oven in June and I greived for days but her last days were painful with uneven heat resulting in underbaked cakes. Rather than replacing the element I opted for a shiny, new sleek baby and my new girl runs like a champ!
I will never look back!
I just want to take a moment to say that (snif)
I think we all know that Oven did such a great job
in helping mac create wonderful masterpieces. (sniff).
I know it's hard! My oven came with the house 5 years ago, guessing it had been around a while before that and it bakes like a charm. Had a few scares and I'm dreading that day...
Good luck with your new baking companion!
