i just made a baby shower cake for saturday. and the filing made the top layer slide ! how do i fix it? cant make another cake, why did this happen please help me! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

dowel it, that's all i can think of & i've done it before when my cream cheese frosting was to soft

a thick ring of frosting around the layer that is to be filled & then fill in the middle---am i making sense

Im sorry to hear that. If you can make or have extra icing, and filling, why don't you take it apart, try to gently carefully clean it around the edges, pipe a dam with the icing, and add more filling if you need. Yes and put a dowel through both cakes, if you can, if you can cover it up with a decoration to secure it "just in case".

not if it's filling & the filling is softer than the frosting--if it's frosting u can smooth it some
