I am making a new filling using cream cheese and pie filling along with marshmallow cream. It is way to thin, how can I thicken it.
Thanks so much

has it been sitting?? LIke is this a filling that will thicken upon standing? Maybe put it in the fridge? Or add powdered sugar?

Well it has been out only while I was mixing it. I did add 1 cup of powdered sugar and it helped a little but not enough. Do you think if i put it in the fridge and then when I applied it to the cake the cake sat out, would it become runny again?
Thanks

Sounds like the pie filling is the culprit. Don't know about this time....but next time I"d make my own fruit filling and use plenty of corn starch, or whatever the thinkening ingredient is. You might just remove some of the "juicy part" of this batch.....and add some vanilla BC icing?????

Have you tried heating the pie filling on the stove and adding some cornstarch to thicken?

no I already have it all mixed together. I think maybe I will use just a portion of it for flavor and add it to bc, that sounds like a good idea.
Thanks for all your help.
