Has anyone used this? I noticed it comes in lots of colors like Satin ice does, does it taste good? how does it handle?
Thanks
i;ve never used it to cover a cake, but i did get my free samples of the white chocolate, dark chocolate, and raspberry white chocolate. so as far as taste goes, its awesome! i love the taste. but it costs so much more than my satin ice does, if i were to use it on a cake i would need to charge more from the customer and since satin ice tastes great i don't bother using them.
I've used it an didn't like it. It tastes good but is SO SOFT...Satin Ice is better and Fondex is even better
Thank you for the info. I saw tht it comes in 2 lb packs and thought it might be nice to have a small amount of colors for accents rather than having to purchase 5lbs of a color I may only use a little of.
the satin ice also comes in colors in 2 lb tubs. i would check that out first, as it will probably be easier to work with and cheaper. heres a link:

go to the cocoa outlet website and in the contact us section send them an email requesting free samples, and give them your address. they sent them to me very quickly.
I've used their white chocolate fondant. It tastes great if you like white chocolate, but it was almost impossible for me to cover a cake in it. It was so soft and would tear everytime I tried to put it on the cake.
I do, however, use Caljava's Fondx fondant and LOVE it!
Cal Java says you can mix the sweet inspiration white chocolate fondant with the fondx, I think it is a 50/50 ration. I use Satin-Ice, and I love all the colors, it makes it so simple and the convience is great. I ordered all the colors. If I want a different shade, I just pinch off a little piece of the colored and add it to the white, and knead in. It is so much better then mixing colors into the fondant and certainly less messy and sticky.
