Just wondering what consistency you all use to ice your cakes with. I've been using a thin-med bc icing as was told in my Wilton I class, but I hear that people have more success with sharp corners, etc with a thicker icing... Any input?! Thanks!!

i use medium icing to ice my cakes with...suppost to use according to my classes thin icing but i like mine medium ...seemed to work better...thick to me will make it hard as heck to use because it will pull away the cake and is harder to spread....

When I raise the beater, I press my finger against the icing. If it leaves a dent and nothing on my finger, it's too thick. If my finger pulls away easily with just a hint of icing on it, it's ok. If my finger pulls away with lots of icing, it's too sticky and thin.

you know .... the scientific method! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif
