I have to say it could have been much worse!
I was on my way to deliver the over the hill cake this afternoon and when I got to the meeting place I looked to make sure everythng was ok. and it wasnt! The backside of the cake had a big tree on it all the icing had slid off and on to the floor of my new car. Ok I thought it might happen because it did it in the house. I wonder if it's the no trans fat crisco???? I have never never had this problem before. Thank ogd I was near a Michaels I went in and bought some wilton icing and fixed it. NOW the customer arrives to say sheis going into the stores there and will leave the cake in her truncj for 45 minutes!I SAY NO IT WILL MELT ITS 90 today. SHe pays and goes on her way............. I hope I dont hear back from her saying she has a problem!

If her cake melts, it is her own fault. I used that new crisco for the first time the other day too, and the icing on the side of the cake slide right off. It was warm in my house, but not super warm. The air was one and it was about 76. I wonder if it IS the new crisco!!

Oh No! I'm sorry about your cake, but glad you were able to fix it.
It is beyond me why people think they can leave ANY food in the car when it's hot outside. Especially a cake. I have to wonder if they'd leave a gallon of milk or even take-out food in the car when it's hot. icon_confused.gif

Ugh what an idiot. We all know what will happen to a cake left out in very HOT car for any amount of time. As long as you told her that the cake was going to melt into a big blob of gooey icing I don't think I would answer her call when she does call cause you know she will just let her leave a message and call her back in a few days. icon_mad.gif
Some people are so clueless.

Oh we haven't heard the last of this saga! 45 minutes in a hot car would ruin a loaf of bread, let alone a frosted cake!

What are people thinking? I think it's a full moon tonight, and that's why there are so many nuts out, lol.
