After a little searching, I found that you can get an 8 ounce container of super pearl for $150 from www.sugarcraft.com. I know that this sounds like a lot, but the same amount purchased with the small containers will cost you approximately $667.

I have had an 8 ounce container for about 8 years, and I paid $250 for it. It was still worth the price.

Do you just invest in the super pearl and then color or paint the fondant and use the SP over any color when you want shimmer? So you don't have to buy the shiny stuff in every single color?

I just finished up at the ICES convention on Omaha and I bought an 8 ounce jar of Super Pearl Platinum from European Cake Gallery for $65.

super pearl is more versitile , but it is still nice to have different colors, for example if you put pearl on red, it will turn pink , so its nice to dust with a red lusterl dust if you want to keep the actual color.

BlakesCakes, thanks for this website. Has anyone use them before. Their prices seem very resonable.

I've ordered from ECG. They ship quick (from Texas) and customer service is great. Aside from dusts, I got empty containers from them to transfer the CK dusts that are very difficult to open.
