ok this guy wants a cake gave me a postcard with this fairy on it he wants ideas on what to do but oh boy a fairy like made of fondant she will look like an alien there is so much detail any help

he wants ideas but I know he wants one of these suckers on the cake, how do I talk him out of it, I did a little kid fairy cake and he liked it but I am way too green for this, bakeries won't do an edible image he got this postcard from Hot Topic

Does it have to be made of fondant? You could do a chocolate transfer or a buttercream transfer. : )

This would be a challenge to do in 3d even for the most talented of fairy makers. I would try like the dickens to convince him that it should be a FBCT, or Colorflow 2d type picture. If he isn't buying it then head on over to Michaels and try to get a mold that resembles a barbie doll, or better yet make one. You could make this and with the right mold it might not be as daunting as it first seems, but again you are going to have to have the right mold.
