How Do I Make The Wire Dissppear???

I'm trygin to make holly berries, or berries in general and i put the "berry" on wire but how would i be abel to make th wire look like a twig??? i tried putting brown fondant on the wire to hide it.. i had more stuck to my fingers then anything elese!!!! any suggestions?

I would wrap them in a brown floral tape. You can get it at any craft store. It wraps very nicely and it looks just like wood if your looking for a "branch" look. thumbs_up.gif

Saw a technique in a book once where they ran the wire in through the TIP if a piping bag filled with royal icing tinted the the color of choice. Use a tip just slightly larger than the gauge of wire and it should evenly coat the wire as you withdraw it. Just be careful not to poke a hole in the bag- may want to use a disposable bag for this. I haven't tried it, but it sounded easy enough.

I have done the icing coating. And the floral tape coverage. I like the floral tape best. I can then move the wire to the shape or angle that I want. Where as the icing stays the same.
