How Would You Attach Fondant Rope To Bc? Will It Slide Off?

I am trying to ease myself into using fondant....I am scared to death of it. I am making a stacked two tier cake and would like to put fondant rope scalloped around the side of each layer with a candy shell kind of fastening each upsweep around the cake...is this possible? Will it stick, do I have to do something special? I could practice my BC rope effect but I was really hoping to use fondant.

I too was wanting to know if you can put fondant deco on bc covered cake, so I'll bump ya and see what we can come up with.
