This is a first for me - I used three different recipes from this site to make chocolate clay so I can see the difference. NO difference. They all came out very nice but then I had to let it "sit" in a ziplock for a day. Now the clay balls are very hard. I made sure that there was no air in the bags. I'm sure that is how it is suppose to be but it seems awefully hard. If I want to use it now for modeling do I "warm" it up? And how do I do that - pop it in the microwave? Please help if you can. Thanks.

I usually put it in the microwave on high for about 7 seconds, remove it to check and keep putting it back and checking every few seconds until I feel it okay to use.

When you do this do you still find you have to knead it extensively to get the sheen and consistency?

When making Choc. Clay, pour it out onto parchment paper or plastic wrap. Roll up into a thin sausage or let it dry flat. Beak off pieces as needed. I find this makes it so much easier to use. Hope this helps.
