If so, how do you attach it? I was reading how you can draw with edible marker on wafer paper and put it on your cake and then follow your drawing to decorate with icing. So can you do this with cookies? On the cake it kind of "melts" into the frosting, so how would you do this on a cookie? Would you still flood your cookies with royal/cookie glaze? Would you put the wafer paper on after the base is dry? It has such potential for us non-artistic people, so I'd love to figure this out!!

Thanks,
Kathi

If you don't want to use frosting, I would brush a little clear vanilla extract on the cookie to make it a bit moist so the sugar paper will melt unto the cookie thumbs_up.gif

Thanks. I'm going to try it this week and see what happens.

Well, in case anyone wants to know, I tried this and it was a failure on numerous counts. First, the edible marker (which I used to draw on a picture, so I could know where to ice) runs when it comes in contact with wet icing. I tried putting it on slightly wet glace icing and it ran, I tried putting it on dry glace, but when you add icing on top of it, it runs. Also, (just for RESEARCH purposes icon_redface.gif ) I ate it, and the wafer paper doesn't really dissolve, so you can feel it when you chew. Not an enjoyable texture with a cookie.

Anyway, there you go, the results of my experiment.
