I had to freeze a cake that was filled and crumb coated. I wrapped it in saran wrap and foil. Should I defrost it in the frig or can I unwrap it and defrost on the counter?

Thanks

i defrost on the counter for several hours (or overnight works well) and I keep it completely wrapped up. Condensation will form on the outside of the foil. Otherwise if you unwrap the condensation will be on your cake instead.

I thaw on the counter for several hours and I leave it wrapped up. I have heard that you can do it both ways though. I think it really just depends on the person.
