how often do you take a break while doing a cake?I am right now because I just spent 1hr and 20 stinking minutes JUST frosting a 12x18 sheet icon_mad.gif oh I had it frosted in ten mins flat BUT I can't leave well enough alone,so I spend the most time getting my surface smooth as I can(ran out of viva so have to use hot spatula icon_mad.gif ),and the littlest thing or not so smooth spot on my cake drives me crazy!!!!!!so when I can't think straight I take a cake brake.anyone else have this problem or am i alone icon_sad.gif

Don't worry you aren't alone! I'm the same way, I can't leave well enough alone and now matter how many times my hubby says it looks perfect it's never perfect enough until I say so...lol I try to take a break every few hours or so to clear my hear and my wrists get sore sometimes. Good luck with your cake and don't stay up too late. Take Care.
