Happy Birthday to your dad! If you haven't done stacked construction before, definitely read up on it! I have done a few stacked cakes and it was very helpful to cut a small hole in the center of each of the cake circles so once the cake is stacked you can drive a sharpened dowel all the way thru each cake. This makes for a sturdier cake. Also, use lots of dowels in the tiers to support the weight and a sturdy base as this cake will surely be heavy. Good luck and post a picture! icon_biggrin.gif
