I need some help. I have made two mmf bows and both have collapse or semi-collapsed. I made the loops and let them dry for a day and a half before assembling. Once I got them on the cake they were fine, but by the next day my loops were almost flat and some had broken. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks, icon_redface.gif

I add prepared gum paste to the mmf, 1/2 gum paste and 1/2 mmf, mix together well. This dries harder.

I also leave the tissue I use to hold the form until right before I deliver or they bring it out to enjoy and cut the cake. HTH

Did you put your cake in an airtight container? Did you put it in the fridge?

This might be a dumb question but are you putting your fondant bow on to of a fondant covered care, or a BC cake?

On the two that I have done, they have been placed on BC cakes. I thought that the moisture from the BC may be making them soft. Wasn't sure though?

I placed the cakes in cake boxes but I don't put them in the fridge.
Thanks,
