I loaned my black coloring to a friend and forgot. Now I am elbow deep in BC and don't have any. Is there anyone out there that has a secret color combo that will make black? I have a cranky 18 month old and REALLY don't want to drag him out again icon_cry.gif Thanks a bunch!

I'm not SURE that it will work, but it's worth a try: mix red and green.

Do you have any cocoa powder? You can add cocoa powder to make it as dark brown as you can and then add other colors (not sue whick ones) untill it is black. Just and idea, never tried it!

I just tried the red and green - I got a really cool camo green color.... added some blue and got an awsome gun metal color!!! No black though. Thanks for the suggestion!! I got 2 new cool colors!

I'm thinking someone had a post about using choc icing and violet color. I'm going to try to find the post, may have been on baking 911

yes, I found it on CC, do a search on Black Buttercream in title only and you will get a post talking about using dark choc icing and adding violet coloring.
