I made Buttercream Dream Icing for a cake on Sunday, I have some leftover and I am making my son's bday cake can I use what's leftover for today's cake? It has been refrigerated the whole time. Recipe contains butter and milk in case you are not familar with this recipe

I think it should be just fine if it has been refridgerated this whole time. I have some in my fridge too! I think all you have to do when your ready for it is leave it on the counter for a bit to soften it up and take a spoon through it or mix it up a bit! I hope this helps. IF not I will give you a

It keeps for a while. I usually make big batches at the time and store in 10 lb. containers in the freezer. When I need some I just thaw out a container on the counter till it softens and re beat it just a bit! Tastes just like the day I made it. I have not froze it for more than 2 months though. I go through it pretty fast!

Yes, you can use it! If you use milk, keep it it in the fridge, if you use water to sub milk (which I have done , and it taste great too) you can leave it on the counter. I just prefer to keep it in the fridge, even though I use water, just seems fresher to me! icon_biggrin.gif
