I have an order for an anneversary cake (40th) and the woman wants a golf theme but also flowers. I have no problem with the golf theme but do not know the best way to incorporate flowers onto the cake to make it look nice. Any ideas? The cake will be either a 1/2 sheet cake or a 1/4 sheet cake. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!

I was looking at this site earlier this morning (from another thread) and these golf cakes are actually quite elegant. Maybe that'll give you more of a visual:

What are your ideas for the golf theme? You could do a golf course and strategicly place flowers all around the course..or make a Very Large golf ball and golf club and have them laying in a bed of flowers..I mean big enough to be the center of the cake. There's a few to start you off.

maybe do something like your regular golf course and then in one corner make it up like a little sitting area where the restaurant overlooks the course and have some flowers going around that. Like put a couple of little chairs or something and a small little gate with flowers climbing up the sides of the gates? I don't know just a thought. hope it works out for you icon_smile.gif

Thanks for the ideas. I had thought of making a golf couse and adding flowers. I like the idea of the gate with flowers or maybe even a trellis. Thanks for the great ideas.

What about a golfball that "landed" in a flower patch?

How about something like this with a ball sitting on a tee in the middle?
