Does the Mario theme song start playing in your head the minute you look at that cake! She is very talented...wish I could produce cakes that were that fabulous. icon_razz.gif I don't think I would have any trouble making the one out of twinkies though!! lol

hahah I saved the twinkie picture so when people start to dicker about price and want to go cheaper..( I remember the thread about the 12 dollar sheet cake..hehe) I will show them that cake.

As a matter of fact, let me PRINT that and hang it in my shop to point to it when they start to haggle on price...

I just e-mailed the picture of the twinkie cake to my younger sister who is getting married in December. She is continually amazed at how much things cost! I told her that she could easily afford that cake.... icon_lol.gif

Yep the song's still playing in my head!! LOL All those hours of playing - or listening to my brother play!!!

I LOVE this - I know someone who asked for a Mario cake for their birthday in January - this would be soo cool!!!

I just WISH I could work with someone and figure out how you get fondant to do stuff like that..... I'm still struggling with it! And the cakes on her website! Just HOW??!!! I wish I had someone here in KY I could apprentice with that makes stuff like that..... just gorgeous!

Risque- You never cease to crack me up about stuff!!!! That picture is great. I am gonna have to try to save it some how to use like you do! Ha Ha!!!

On the other hand...the original Mario cake was beautiful! My question however is this seems to have been a paid order, so how does she get away with doing a patented/lic./copyright image? Is she just taking a risk of not being sued?

Hmm - the characters themselves were bought by the couple - so she didn't really furnish them.... the rest is just a mushroom, a green pipe, etc..... I guess b/c Nintendo isn't tracking down cake decorators and knocking on their doors to see if they are using Nintendo designs..... and it's only ONE cake.... it's not like she's mass producing it and making some major profit ONLY b/c it's Mario.... just my opinion anyway.
