Has anyone tried adding all of these to a Devil's food cake mix, and if so how much of each?? I have to do a "chocolate overload" type of cake for a customer and would like to kick it up a notch by adding to the mix.

Never done exactly what you did, but I did make one cake experiment I wanted really chocolatey by doing the following: used the cake mix extender recipe; used chocolate yogurt instead of sour cream; added a 1/2 bag of mini choc chips; replaced 1/2 the water with coffee creamer. Turned out well.

I would try replacing the water with milk and chocolate flavored coffee creamer, and then add the chocolate chips to the batter. I'm Getting Hungry!!!!

Have you tried the Darn Good Chocolate Cake recipe on this site? It combines chocolate fudge cake mix, pudding and chocolate chips. I also use Hershey's chocolate sauce for the liquid. It's terrific.

I have made a chocolate cake mix with pudding, heavy cream, butter, hershey's chocolate syrup and chocolate chips from Gheredelli.
Used the butter instead of oil, heavy cream substituted for water, 1/4 cup hershey's and a bag of the chips, a 12 0z. I think.

I use the Darn Good recipe and substitute strong coffee for the liquid.

You could also use chocolate milk for your liquid. I really like adding a small box of chocolate pudding to my chocolate cakes. It enhances the chocolate taste and makes for a moist cake.
