I don't have any great ideas for a cake. I just wanted to say I am sorry she broke her arm and hope she heals quickly and isn't in too much pain.

I don't have any cake pics but wanted to add my sentiments as well, hope your grandma is doing ok. I wasn't a grandma at the time, but I broke my arm trying out my son's skateboard, dumb huh...send my get well wishes to your grandma.

so, I'll make the obvious suggestion --

a sheet cake cut and stacked, then carved to look like an arm in a cast

fondant strips layed on to look like the overlapping stuff they use to make the cast.

and of course the cast as been signed by friends and family --

fun idea -- leave cast unsigned -- take edible markers -- hide cake somewhere where the rest of family can go and sign it before presenting to grandma.

(and did you see the leg in a cast cake Duff did? if so..... this would have fingers instead of toes)

also good wishes here

Dougs idea was the same one I had. My husband recently broke his wrist and arm so I am familiar with this look! Hope your grandma heals as well as my husband is doing. He had to have surgery for his.

Doug beat me to the "post". I think the edible marker idea is a great one!

I DO hope that your grandmother is feeling better after her mishap! Blessings to her.
