what if you used brown just as an accent? I made this cake brown and blue for a boy and it was a big hit. You could do a similar version with pink, orange, and brown.

Different fall colored leaves cut out of fondant. So you could use brown/orange/yellow/red. I would maybe put a little pink baby popping out of the top of the leaves. I picture this as a two tier with leaves "falling" down the sides, but you could really do this with any size or shape of cake.
How would you mix in the pink?
I was thinking of doing a stacked cake with white icing...orange & brown bow at the top, top layer lined in fondant teddy bears, bottom layer with orange & brown stripes...but it still doesn't look girly...
The acorn idea was cute...thanks...but I'm not that talented ![]()

I was thinking about using leaves in the beginning and I may still do that. The shower is this coming Saturday...(fall colors in July!). What would you suggest making a pink baby with? I'm curious to see how pink will fit in with orange and brown.
The blue & brown cake that was posted was precious for a boy.
I did a baby shower cake in brown and pink, it was polka dots with a fondant bow. How about doing that, but with the orange and brown. Or instead of the polka dots, just do cut-out flowers like you would do polka dots.
Thanks for all of the great ideas. I went with the white cake, brown & orange bow, brown teddy bears, and orange & brown polka dots. It came out very cute!
I would post a picture, but I can't download them...the site says my file is too big. Guess I won't be able to post pictures. ![]()
