I bought lemon curd in a jar. I intend to put a thin layer of it in on a layer of cake and put a layer of vanilla BC over that. It says refrigerate after opening. Does anyone have any experience with it? Can I leave the cake out for 2 days without refrigerating?

Thanks!

I've used strawberry preserves from a jar and left the cake out, I really don't think that you will have a problem. Your icing/fondant will preserve it.

I've left the jarred lemon curd on a bc cake for 2 days, then had leftovers for several days afterward - it was fine!

I would say it is definitely fine. i make mine from scratch and leave it out, but fridge the leftovers.
