If it's a crusting recipe you can leave them sit to dry/crust over or you can freeze them... I've always done flowers directly on the cake when they are like this... but I've only attempted roses and drops so... roses I do on a flower nail and wax paper square and when finished I clip it off the nail and place it to harden up a bit... air drying hardens it up a little but not enough you can touch it... if they were good enough to keep I'd put them in a container and freeze them like the ones I get from the grocery store bakery lmfao

ohmygoodies, i did them on wax paper and then took them off the wax paper when they were dried but they were just way brittle..had to handle w/care but some just had a mind of their own..
