Hey there - any ideas for a 'different' tuscan theme cake - using lots of grapes and vines?

Hi,
I am doing a Tuscan theme cake for a Wedding at a vineyard.
I will be doing grape clusters, I haven't decided if they will all be made from rolled fondant brushed with luster dust or if some will be made with blown sugar. But I will also do grape leaves with gumpaste and luster dust as well as vines.
I don't know if this helps or not, but I generally get more creative as I work on the project, perhaps if you sketch out your cake you will get inspired.
Good luck!

I saw a beautiful cake with grapes etc at Earlenes website (she sells the stress free cake supports too). I think she even sells the directions for it. It's a beautiful cake.

I'd do a nice SMBC and leave it textured like stucco, then do the vines and grape clusters.

I have promised myself I will see it before I die!!!

As for the cake.....I love the urn idea......or how about stacking different sized round cakes and making a big wine barrel......might even be cute to make a little spicket on it.....like a wine tap and have grapes on and around with wines trailing down it. You could cover the barell in fondant with a wood effect .......there are a million different things you could do
